Nallagandla. The next big thing in Hyderabad

Nallagandla HUDA Layout is first of its kind colony fully developed by HUDA itself in Hyderabad. The HUDA colony is spread out in 380 acres conjoining Tellapur road and Gopanpally road. Near about 80 acres in the colony is spared for amenities which include space for hospital, school, water tanks, spacious parks, roads, etc.


The colony is strategically located in the vicinity of various IT firms in financial district and with road access to highways and other prominent roads

Deputy Commissioner, GHMC, visit to colony

Colony president MVV Satyanarayana brought the plight of dump yard located in the colony to the notice of Deputy Commissioner. The dump yard is a cause of worry as often the sanitary department of GHMC burn the inorganic waste leading to foul smell in the neighbourhood.


DC visited the dump yard on request of president and observed the unethical practices followed by sanitary department and assured the colony members to follow the laid procedures to be followed in disposing waste.

Constituency representatives visit to Colony

Serilingampally assembly constituency representative Mr. A Gandhi and Gachibowli Corporator Mr. K Saibaba visited the colony on 16 April 2016. Colony association lead by Mr. MVV Satyanarayana Rao invited the representatives to inaugurate the construction of water harvesting pits. Association also used this occasion by bringing the pertinent issues that need utmost attention in the colony to the notice of elected representatives.


Realising the drought situation in the city and elsewhere in the state and country, colony association decided to construct water harvesting pits on war-foot basis. About 200 water harvesting pits were constructed within a span of one week and were filled with right proportions of gravel and sand.


Eenadu new paper also supported the cause by guiding the colony association and bringing representatives to the colony.


Colony members supported the cause as always and actively participated in the programme. They were instrumental in identifying the rain water flowing areas in respective neighbourhood and selecting places for water harvesting pits.


The event would not have possible without the large hearts of donors who supported the cause by bearing expenses for JCB, gravel, sand, man power, etc.
